(Bar) Tool Talk

Just because you’re not technically a mixologist, doesn’t mean you can’t play one at home – as long as you have to have the right tools.

We’re taking the classic versions of the vodka martini, shaken and stirred, and showing you the essential  ingredients, techniques, and tools you’ll need to show this cocktail who’s boss.

When all is said and done, you’ll be well on your way to ‘resident mixologist’ status at many parties to come.

First, take a look at the essential tools you’ll need to craft pretty much any shaken or stirred cocktail.

Now, for the recipes and technique…

The Puretini (shaken)

Shaken or stirred?

4 oz. PURUS Organic Wheat Vodka
Splash of dry vermouth
Cracked ice

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted and beaded with condensation. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with three olives.


The Puretini (stirred)

6 cracked ice cubes
4 oz. of PURUS Organic Wheat Vodka
1 tablespoon of dry vermouth
1 olive

Place the cracked ice cubes, vermouth, and PURUS Vodka into a mixing glass and stir several times with a bar spoon. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with an olive (or three!)
